Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) Avadi, a unit of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, invites online applications from eligible Indian candidates for the recruitment of 1850 Junior Technician (Contract) posts across various trades on a fixed tenure contract basis. HVF Junior Technician Remuneration:
₹ 21,000/- (Basic Pay) + Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) + 5% Special Allowance + ₹ 3,000/- monthly for other requirements (medical, conveyance, etc.). Annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay upon successful completion of tenure.
HVF Junior Technician Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit (as on closing date of application): Maximum 35 Years. Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PwBD (additional 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL), up to 7 years for relevant post-qualification experience, and as per Apprentice Act 1961 for Ex-Apprentice Trainees. Maximum age limit capped at 55 years.
Educational Qualifications:
- NAC/NTC in relevant trade (Blacksmith, Carpenter, Electrician, Electroplater, Fitter General, Fitter AFV, Fitter Auto Electric, Fitter Electronics, Heat Treatment Operator, Machinist, Painter, Rigger, Welder) from NCVT/SCVT with minimum 65% marks (60% for SC/ST/PwBD, 62% for OBC).
- For Operator Material Handling Equipment, Rigger, and Sand & Shot Blaster: Class X with 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Candidates must submit all qualification details in the application.
HVF Junior Technician Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on marks in NTC/NAC (preference to HVF Ex-Trade Apprentices, then OFB Ex-Trade Apprentices, then other NTC/NAC holders).
- Document Verification.
- Trade Test (Qualifying in Nature – FIT/UNFIT).
- Final merit based on NTC/NAC marks, with tie-breakers by batch seniority, date of birth, or alphabetical order.
Fee:
- ₹ 300/- for General/EWS/OBC candidates, payable via SBI Collect.
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Female candidates.
